Hi all. I just got a Commander today, and I really love it. I looked at 3 of them before making a desision. This one is as well made as they get. It's a BT half serrated model. My question is as follows. It's made kind of ambi, but more for Right handed people, and I'm a lefty. I'm carrying it in my left pocket. It's tip up. Is that safe? It seems that it's ok. I'm sure that Emerson researched this before making this knife, but I need input from ya'll on the street. I really want this to be my every day user. I just worry about the safety factor.

Hey and welcome to the Commander devotion

(insanity??)

I've carried my Commanders in my left pocket a few times, going to reverse grip with the wave thing and i've never had any problem with it.

You might want to consider getting a true left hand Commader though.
I'm thinking about getting one for weak side carry myself, ok it's a bit more expensive ordering from Mr. Emerson himself but then you'd have it perfect!
Or you can just have a good machinist/gunsmith re-fit the clip on the other side, doesn't take that much dexterity to unlock a liner lock the other way.

Hope that i helped somewhere along my ramblings!
Good luck
