Just picked it up at the post office today and it's great. Fit and finish are fine:thumbup: And after I wave it open a few hundred times over the next few days it will be nice and slick just like my CQC-10:D I really like the tan G10 scales too. Very grippy, so grippy they will probably shred a few pockets lol. As soon as I got home I took the blade out and cleaned it with Break Free CLP. I also tightened the screw to where the blade felt good and snug but could still move freely then I took it out and added a drop of blue loctite.

That's an awesome looking blade. The introduction of this blade makes me question whether to buy it or wait for the Gentleman Jim to come out. Decisions, decisions.

I already own a CQC-10 (same exact as yours) and a Combat Karambit, so I don't really "need" another knife, but I sure love them.

A CQC-7 in a V grind...?

I'm going to go check outside for swarms of locusts. This is surely a sign of the end times. :)

Seriously though. That is one nice blade.!

Now please tell me that knife doesnt look about a thousand times better with both sides ground?

That is a beautiful knife! I'd love to pick one up but am saving up for another purchase first. Does anyone know if this is a limited run provided to Action Concepts, or will it be a normal run (through AC).

Its a limited run they are calling the Prestige Series, available through a number of select dealers. The Emerson website has more info.

Really liking this knife! It has only been a few days and it already feels good and broke in:thumbup: I am debating on ordering another I like it so much:D I really like the flat dark earth G-10 too, does Emerson only offer this on a few knives? Are there any aftermarket scales available for these knives?

You always "need" another knife! You need multiples of each knife lol! That way if you lose or break one or one gets stolen you have one just like it:thumbup: Or if Emerson halts production of that model you will have a back up...atleast thats how I justify buying two of a knife I really like:D

- Must... control... spending!

It doesn't help that I just bought Trijicon sights and a Kindle 3.

At first I was a bit thrown off by the color of the tan G-10. It seemed like it might be a little too light for my liking. Still, I could not help myself. I was planning on getting a CQC-7B, which I still will add at some point, but opted for the 7V as it is limited production and grind.

It arrived earlier today and I must say I'm very impressed. My initial concerns about the scales proved to be much ado about nothing. They are a bit darker in tone and overall it is a very nice offering. As others have stated the G-10 is textured different and provides a very grippy traction. Some may not like it, however I am quite the opposite and love that in my handles.

Lock up is very early on mine, of course I have yet to break it in. But I shall take care of that soon I trust. :)

For those thinking about getting one, stop thinking and just get one. You won't regret it!
