Well I finally did it...I finally got myself an Emerson custom. It's a 99 CQC6, double-bevel edge. My thanks go out to Sniperboy (and indirectly, Tattoo) for this beauty! :D :D

Welcome to the inner circle of Usual Suspects, especially reserved for those people that have Emerson Customs. :D

Regards,

Ed

PS you will not be suprised to know that most people find it hard to stop after the first one..........

I've made someone happy I've done my deed of the day.. now I am off in search for the perfect Custom for me.. :D

Congratulations! I can only dream of one day being able to join the inner circle.

The classic. Carry it proudly.

It's in my waistband as I type this. Thanks for the good wishes guys!

Now, if I can find a CQC-8, and an Emerson fixed blade.... :D :D

Congrats and glad you like it. I will be taking possesion of a new 2001 zero grind CQC7 soon. That is a 5 - 6 - 7 - 9 in the last 6 months or so. The madness must stop before the night train gets here !

Tattoo,

That's exactly the sequence of the CQC series that I have, with the exception of a few extras of each. (Extra 6's & 5's) I took possession of a zero ground 7 tonight & a CQC9 tomorrow. All I need now is a 8 & I'll stop. I swear. :D Really.

Hmmmm . . . "Inner Circle". Do we have a new term?

Reading Tat's post I think I came up with another one. "Emerson Straight". Owning a CQC5, CQC6, CQC7, CQC8 and a CQC9. How about a MV-1, MV-2, MV-3, MV-4 and an MV-5?

:D

Emerson straight - interesting sub-group, but it does cut out the owners of Emerson Fixed blades........I still like the distinctio between fans of all Emersons, and thoe that have it REAL BAD and are into customs - just my thoughts.

Regards,

Ed

A Viper Straight? ;) The fixed blades may pose a problem as there are CF-1 through CF-11...

Good score on the CQC6, carry it, use it and enjoy it.

As for the 'Inner Circle' being for those with CQC6's, I like it ! :D

6's are pretty awesome, eh Robert? Tattoo sold me my first custom (Thanks Scott), and I've been hooked ever since. Took delivery on a sweet 2000 Viper 1 today with a zero grind, now a 7 and an 8 are in my sights.
