My new custom knife scales

I was lucky enough to run into Randy Chinn on this forum and he makes beautiful wood scales for knives. They ae works of art IMHO and here are a couple...the Bark River STS-5 has new scales of fine cocobolo wood and the ESEE-4 new scales made of museum grade Bird's Eye Maple.

That is some stunning work, and your photoes look to be doing them justice too. I especially like the Cocobolo wood scales, very impressive.

I've never really cared for bird's eye maple.

Until now that is. Very nice. :cool:
 
Loving the scales on that ESEE-4, the wood gives a nice contrast to the satin blade.
