I picked this up a couple of weekends ago from Mike Alsdorf at a show in Bethalto, Il and decided it was just what I wanted in a custom carry slipjoint...so it went in my pocket earlier this week. This knife is Not too little, not too big and not a lot of money
I met Mike at his first show in Mount Vernon, Il in November and knew right then I wanted more of his knives.  He had some in the works so I spoke for a few.
Mike uses 440C and nickel silver. His fit and finish is absolutely amazing. The blade is hollow ground and mirror polished. I know some folks don't care for nickel silver on a custom...and 440C is out of vogue, but man this thing is sharp and it carries good too-- Not too heavy. Not sure where Mike got this bone, but I love the look of the "rope" jigging. Mike says he patterned this after the Remington Tear drop Jack. It is a tad over 3 1/8" closed. And man does it walk and talk...and has a half stop position too.
