So I'm starting to really like making sheaths for these knives, and I though I'd share my new design for the BK11/14's.

Awesome! I'm a big fan of horizontal carry for smaller knives. It's really good looking too! :thumbup:

Ok. This is a pic of the first one that I made for myself. If you notice the rivet in there, yeah I didn't put them in the other ones because the knife's edge sometimes hits that and dulls the edge, and I didn't want the other sheaths to do the same thing so I left it out. But not to worry I'm sure all the stitching I did in those areas of concern won't be coming apart anytime soon; well unless you cut it.

That is just one of the positions I carry it in. It all depends on what I'm going to be doing for the day.


I'll have to take another pic with one of the new ones on so you can see it better.
 
Interesting, I like it :) I'm am digging the leather working you have been doing, it's improved a ton.

edit: I love the red color of the one you posted at the top.
 
Yeah the one at the top is the latest and greatest. The one on my belt was my first design for 'em.
 
Your going all out leather now days huh?

I'm having fun making 'em, so ya. I just don't think I'm skilled enough to make pants.......yet. I am thinking about making a water bottle holder for this months challenge though. The local leather shop has some nice looking leather in there right now.
 
Nice work man! I still really like that style of retention. Its so simple and effective! It certainly goes by the K.I.S.S. principile(Keep It Simple Stupid).

Keep it up, you are progressing well!
