So I had a thread recently about Schrade, asking about the 8OT. Well I was able to get one from a fellow forumite here and all I have to say is WOW! This knife is amazing. It came fairly sharp, with a bit of wear on the sheepsfoot, but I really don't mind. I have been holding the knife non stop for the last day. And since I get fairly sweaty hands, there is a nice patina being developed on the top of the blades and the springs. The blade are nicely done and and there is only the smallest amount of blade play. But hey, perfection is not needed for me. I love it though. It is definitely my new EDC. That and my case Trapper and man, I am good to go. Ill get pics later.

It was truly amazing the quality of knife Schrade put out on a day to day basis. I don't think I ever bought a USA Schrade with a problem. Also at a price everyone could afford. The price got me to buy one but the quality is what brought me back again and again.

The 80t Schrade was my favorite knife for many years when they were US made and carbon steel.

My grandpa's old 8OT is one of my most cherished knives. They were great knives offered at awesome prices.

With all of the 8OT affection in this thread, I thought I'd share mine.

Here are eight varieties of the 80 pattern. I keep looking for the original 8OT they made in real bone. Or even an old jigged bone.
