i just got this in the mail and it is AMAZING and DLT did great job in picking one out for me meeting my centering and lack of blade play and good grind requirements. It is perfect and beautiful in that regard.
But, I have a question about what you see below. That scratch along the top of the BM emblem. Is that normal haphazard stone washing or a scratch to you? First thing I do is inspect the crap out of a knife I get and this jumped out at me.

If you vote it is nothing surprising I will move on. If you think it is a scratch then I will return for replacement. Keep in mind that this is my only BM so I don't have a lot of experience with the quality of their stone washing.
