I have been looking for something for my wife to gift to me for our anniversary. She never knows what to get, so every year I get to go shopping for me
. I have been a member here for some time, and I have several pocket knives that I EDC. The typical Spydercos, Emersons, CKRTs, ETC... I also have several custom blades in my collection. But I have very few that I would EDC in my custom collection for the simple fact I do not think they would stand up to test of time with grace. Most of them would scratch and dent and just loose the value over time.
Well all has changed in my mind set. I am changing my thought process so to speak.
I was milling around on the Exchange by Maker Folder section here on the Forum and came across Alan Davis Knives. He posts one or two knives a week and they always stand out, and fit right into my taste. They look so clean and well made. They also fit that "I want it in my pocket every day" look. They are not supper flashy, but you know you have something unique in your hands look.
I sent him an email looking for a custom knife, then this popped up for sale and it was so close to exactly what I was looking for I snatched it up with a quick post to the link and sat by the mail box waiting.

I got a letter saying it was there waiting for me at the post office, and I ran up there quick to pick it up. I dug into the well packaged box, and pulled it out. WOW. What a well build knife!! This knife will ride in my pocket with pride. Butter smooth action, razor sharp, strong early lock up, NO blade play, perfect finish... I love everything about it. My only regret is that I can not buy that next knife he just posted up as well. I wish it was next month and I had my mad money stash back in my pocket. I would snag that as well.
I look forward to purchasing many more blades from Alan in the future. Your work stands up to the best knives in my collection as far as quality of the build and level of fit and finish is concerned.
