Recent changes in my phone necessitated a change in knifery. Unfortunately, my beloved Magua has been switched from pocket to belt carry because of my new ginormous cell phone. Now I will be carrying a highly modified BK24 a la the mod Hawkhead did on his. Here are the updated pics.

Here is what all I have:

01. Leatherman Skeletool CX
02. Streamlight Microstream
03. 3'x3' Red Bandanna (With skulls because it was the only 3'x3' bandanna I have found)
04. Casio Pro Trek PRW-3000
05. Paracord Bracelet
06. Burt's Bees Chapstick
07. Commando Tools Precision Screwdriver 1/2" Handle
08. Very old Eagle Creek Slim Wallet
09. Samsung Galaxy Note 3
10. Titanium Capsule containing 32GB USB Thumb Drive
11. Kydex Tool and Knife sheath holding modified BK24, County Comm 4" Widgy Bar, Tweezers, and two tension wrenches.
12. Keychain, holding Keyless entry for Jeep Cherokee, Tru Utility Nail Clippers, County Comm Stainless Peanut Lighter, Vargo Titanium Whistle, and the keys I use cut down and fit to a small stainless sail shackle.

Commando Screwdriver holds the following lockpicks, from top to bottom:
Triple Peak Bogota Rake
Single Peak Bogota Rake
L Rake
Bypass Tool
Half Diamond Pick
Medium Hook Pick

And also a large and very small phillips and flathead bits, awl, and punch.

Nice setup Derek. I love my Skeletool CX. Thanks for the idea about the keys being cut down. I'm gonna try that. I hate carrying keys with me. Usually just have my Jeep key and that's it, leave the rest in the car or something.

I guess all that stuff could come in handy if the SHTF, but this is my go to EDC:

Agreed! Cutting down the keys is a great idea!

Nice set of handle broaches.
That phone is PERFECT for baldric carry, get on it.

Hahahaha, the phone is rather monstrously big. However it replaces a notepad in my back pocket (writing on it is fantastic) so it was a reasonable trade off, it has way more capacity than an analog notepad.

I guess all that stuff could come in handy if the SHTF, but this is my go to EDC:

And most of that stuff comes in useful on a daily basis.

Not a burglar, not yet at least. Just figured being prepared for simple things, like say losing my keys or being locked out of the house, things like that might be easier to deal with having a working knowledge of how to get past something as simple as a lock. Where I live has no laws on lockpicks, so it isn't illegal for me to own or carry any. And while I don't use them every day, or even every week, being prepared never hurts. Plus it is kind of fun to know how to use them and even more frightening how easy it is to use simple tools like that to bypass most regular locks (time measurable in seconds rather than minutes in most cases). Given the tools I carry lockpicks make for one more thing that I can deal with as needed and not be beholden to anyone else to solve for me. Want to hear something even more distressing? I have opened more locked doors using the 4" widgy bar than I will ever come close to with the lockpicks, leaving no damage or signs of entry.

And of the tools listed, the widgy bar is one of the most useful despite not appearing so at first. I think me and Pointy have ended up at several hundred uses for them, and it saves the tip of your knife from prying stuff. And the screwdriver handle does carry several regular screwdriver bits, which are incredibly useful as well.

I have a lock pick set somewhere. A cheapy, but still works. ;)

Ahh, the skeletool. Lost mine last year, replaced it with a Charge, that thing is a little too heavy for me for EDC.

Slick paracord work on the 24.

Can we get a close up of the shaved down keys?

Is that widgy-bar from c-comm? I should probably grab one up. They seem to have some "tether cord" which looks like the cord too.

There isn't much to the keys really, just shaved down the excess in a round pattern around the hole that the bolt in the shackle goes through. EDCForums has tons of threads on it. Some even go as far as to rivet their keys, completely removing the loop for theirs. Not strong enough for my tastes.

No, that cordage that County Comm sells is nothing like what I have used there. The County Comm cordage is about 2.5-3mm thick, round, and very, very slick comparatively. Works poorly for any wrapping type stuff so far in my experience. The cordage is the stuff the boss had, from Wallace Cordage of Tenn. #18 Tarred braided nylon duck decoy line 155 lbs test.
