So yesterday I got my first Swamp Rat Warden. Instantly took a liking to the knife. Very similar to my Izula except a bit comfier in the hand and it's got a steel I prefer to 1095 (Not that 1095 is bad, I enjoy using it too). Can't say I care for the sharpening choil when cutting, but it sure made reprofiling the knife easier. Speaking of reprofiling...
It isn't the thinnest edge out of all my knives, but wow! It's the sharpest!
I've loved SR101 ever since sharpening and using my Scrapper 5 (Very tough, gets very sharp and takes an edge quickly and easily).
I reprofiled my Warden with a DMT XX course, smoothed it with my X course then fine (Could still use some more polishing on the fine really), then took my time with the sharpmaker fine stones, then ultrafines, then took my freshly loaded strop and did one light swipe per side. This knife is so sharp now. I love it. Whittling thin hairs, push cutting circles in post it notes....I'm starting to look for new things to do to play with the super sharpness
Really happy with this knife. It's on my belt right now, and won't leave anytime soon.
