Never handled a Sage but I can relate to the feeling. Once I opened the AG Russell exclusive Jess Horn Micarta burgundy folder, I knew the very same thing. EDC.

Great pics. Thanks much for the thread. Looks like Sal is getting some killer quality out of his Taiwan contract shop.

Thats a good looking knife! I've had my eye on the sage for awhile, but it's a little out of my price range seeing as how I recently bought a waved Delica 4 and mini-griptilian. Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for that pretty little thing?

$170 from knifecenter.com man now that i say that out loud that's a lot of money but it was worth it.

quite a step up from a delica to a sage II. I agree it is one of the nicest spydercos to EDC

Sage 2 is my favorite knife!
Welcome to the club!

I got lucky paying $140 around when it first came out.
The Bay is good place to look for NIB Sage 2

After owning it I would pay $170
I just want to have another as a back up ;]

The Sage 2 is still my favorite. It's a wonderful knife. Thanks for the great pictures.

I'll agree with the notion that the Sage 2 is one of Sal's best to date  I have a NIB back up so I've carried one them for a few months of total carry time already and believe it or not, the Sage 2 beautifies in a different way as she gets worked. I've washed her in my jeans, dropped her at least 4 times on hard surfaces and used her without babying her and she just gets more beautiful while still performing like the first week we met. She's beautiful. She started out like a red carpet type and morphed into a beautiful, sexy outdoor type :D

HI freedoom -

Excellent pics - I like the knife, it is an elegant design with no waste.

thanks guys.

thanks for the photo comments mqqn. I have a small photobox i made for such things. i just wish i had better lighting.

Nice Photos!!
I've had my Sage II for several months now and it is one of those knives you want to own for a lifetime. I bought a Sage I as a backup and it is another fine knife. The Sage II has been in my pocket every since I got it. I've only run across a few knives that I think are Lifetime knives. The Buck 110 and Benchmade 710 are two others. The stockman pattern is the other.

Enjoy your Sage II I sure am loving mine.

Well i finally got to put it to some light use, and it is fantastic. i highly recommend the sage to anyone looking for a higher end EDC knife.

Nice pics! I have a Sage 1 and I hope to eventually pic up a Sage 2. I love the ergonomics of the knife. A first I did not like the aesthetics because my preferences are usually towards the more narrow blades and handles but that changed after using it. Its funny how sometimes what we think looks good may or may not necessarily feel good.

Nice pics! I have a Sage I and it's one of my absolute favorite knives. The Sage seems like an amazingly versatile, handy design in a perfect form factor, with great build quality and materials. Really, what's not to like, as long as you're not bothered by the Taiwanese construction, which I am not.
