Hey everybody, I've been carrying my first knife as my edc for a while now, the time has come for a replacement ! I think this is my 13th knife and my favorite so far (newbies probably all like their most recent accomplishment the best !)
My good buddy and mastersmith-in-the-making Stu Branson did the differential HT for me . Thanks Stu  .... maybe we can talk about some leather :D
The steel is O-1, 9.25" overall, 4.75" blade, .200" thick at the spine.
The handle slabs are big leaf maple burl with some spalting, and black and red fiber liners. Unfortunately, the burl isn't stabilized.
I did a few ferric etches with 600 grit rubs in between, the last etch rubbed with some 0000 wool.
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking !
Cheers

Wow Shant, That's a great looking knife:thumbup:

I love the sexy lines, flows so well!

Ooooh... That turned out sweet Shant. Nice work and I like the contours on the handle. I bet it feels good in the hand.

I have no idea what your other knives look like as I'm a newbie here but dammit, this one's just up my alley. I like lines that flow and I'm actually designing some knives for one of the blade smiths here. Helluva job! Lovely lines :)

Ik like it, well done
(just don't like the recurve on the blade, but that's personal)
