I ordered a regular sized roadhouse, and just got it in the mail, and all i can say is WOW!I had the super Roadhouse and it was a sweet blade but it was just too big, the regular roadhouse on the other hand fits my hand like a glove, F&F is great , and I believe this knife is gonna kick my cqc-15 out of my pocket, Mr. Emerson refers to the roadhouse as his favorite child and I really do see why, These are just my initial impressions, I will report back after this baby gets some miles on it.

I have always been impressed with mine as well! Keep us posted as you break it in

I usually take them apart and clean them out and lube them upon recieving them, but I think I'm gonna let this one break itself in instead of doing the whole disassembly , clean and lube right out of the box. Dare i say that the Roadhouse is everything that the cqc-7 was lacking, don't get me wrong I love my 7, but the roadhouse IMO is a better blade and again is everything the 7 was lacking.

There is no need to clean them just let it break in its the type of washers Emerson uses. I used to clean up my new Emersons but the last few I just let break in and they are real smooth now. The Roadhouse is next on my Emerson list now you just inspired me to hunt one down my wallet thanks you.

I got a really good deal on mine, like i said I had the super and loved the knife it was just gigantic, the regular one is awesome, I could of got a desert Roadhouse version for like 3 dollars more, but all my EKI knives are black bladed I wanted that stonewash finish, but this may be the knife i buy a duplicate of just to get the desert version of.

just looked i payed 225.00 shipped brand new, I dare say this is the most comfortable emerson i have owned, I might even go as far as say it's the most ergonomic knife I have ever owned.

Yeah, I've got the Desert Roadhouse and it's phenomenal. It's such a unique blade shape though - I always kind of wondered what the story is behind it. Great knife though...
