Hi all :)
Nice to meet you, my name is Eytan
just got my new karambit, what is the best way to sharpen it?
(I got water stones, leather strape and spyderco kit)

The blade is "Chisel grind".

Hello. :)

You might look into a ceramic rod, a 1inch diameter piece of PVC pipe wrapped in sandpaper might also work. You already have the sharpmaker, so that would be all you need really.

Have you seen the sharpening info on Emerson's website? I think he demonstrates with a Commander, but the recurve portion is a similar shape to the karambit. Sorry no links at the moment but it is there.

ETA: he uses a rod, diamond or ceramic I don't know.

I have a big 1" diameter ceramic rod that I use for curved blades. Just mark the factory edge with a marker so it's easier to see the angle .

I use a Hewlett Diamond sharpening rod for my Hawkbill blades. The Sharpie marker is a useful aid to getting it right. All the best.
