I've been debating whether or not to send in my Mini 7 for a Krein re-grind.

I have a reground mini-7b so I can say for sure that it's well worth doing.
 
I personally dont see the need for a regrind. My 11 when I still had it was as sharp as a freaking razor.

Of course there's no real need for a regrind, but I bet yours wasn't Krein Sharp. I also bet it didn't look as badass as that one either.:D

Seriously, Tom takes an already sharp and awesome knife and regrinds it to an amazing level of awesomely sharp sharpness!!:thumbup::cool:
 
What does Krein charge for a regrind like that?

I've never been able to get a response from him (calling is usually out of the question, due to location and mobility).

Wasn't he unavailable recently due to a family crisis?
 
I'm back in the US, so I called him, using the number on his web site. He said go ahead and send a knife. I'm getting set to send him a Commander now, and have a host of othes I'd like to get done if this one turns out well.
