I love this lil knife! Much better than the old handle.

Nice looking blade...

Maybe I missed it or this is something new: do the Izula handle slabs fit on the ESKABAR?

I have been considering an ESKABAR as a "lay around" knife.

They need to be modded a little. Takes a razor blade and 5 mins to do. Lay around? Mine gets some action at every turn. :D

Seems like a nice knife overall and it interests me. Just can't justify the purchase yet though because I don't see it doing a better job than my Izula can. If anything I'll get an Izula-II before I even think about getting this.

Really like the collaboration though between ESEE/Becker & KaBar on this one though. Nice to see good companies working together.

I like it, is the Eskabar handle a touch bigger than the Izzy or am i looking at it wrong? Might be the fuzzies in my eyes had a rough night last night:eek:

with some time on a grinder, a careful hand and some water you can probably mod the eskabar to have an izula-like blade profile

yup, when I show it off, I tell people "Say hello to my leetle friend"... :D

Does the Becker BK14 EsKaBar come in coated clors like the Izula? Or, can I buy one naked - uncoated? Thanks :)

Only black atm =( You can strip one and it would look nice tho!

Thanks crobbins88, I was lazy & looked up n found enough sites selling it to figure out it was black. What is it with ESEE & KA-BAR - ya can't get a nice satin finish knife out of these guys? :)

that would cost more money :>

take a look at the san-mai BK-11's price :) also hand stropped. pricey?

lots of people are about functionality and savings, especially these days

and unlike some knives, if you strip them, these things aren't too ugly even :)

i guess some folx don't regard 1095 as the most interesting thing to bring to satin and even mirror, but it can be done. just takes more time. time == money.
