I spent a small fortune on this thing on Ebay but it was totall worth it!

(This was one of those this-is-the-last-knife-I'll-buy-and-then-I'll-focus-on-paying-down-my-credit-card-debt-from-now-on knives.)

I love this thing! (Check my avatar!)

Somehow it feels heavier and beefier than all my other Emersons even though it's only .04 thicker in the handle than my previous favorite, a 2000 Commander, so maybe it's my imagination. The locking bar is thicker than a lot of my others, though.

And it waves faster since it doesn't have the thumb disk to get in the way.

Oh...

and the SWEDGE... that GLORIOUS SWEDGE! That really makes the knife.

Well, the stonewash flats and the true satin grind doesn't hurt either.

This thing is a masterpiece. Definately my if-I'm-on-a-desert-island-with-only-one-knife-knife.

I like it. A Super 10 sounds like a good idea too.

I'm thinking, if I had to give up all my Emerson's, except one, it would be the 10 that would win out. :D

That new finish looks so much better thatn the old satin coating

I love the 10 with a swedge...nice score. I just picked up a commander with a swedge and I couldn't be happier. I don't know if the original had a swedge like the new one but something about swedges make the EKI knives look old school to me.

I sold this one a while ago and still regret it.
