My new favorite Emerson (and overall knife)!

I love Emerson knives. Love the wave, love the thumb disk, and love the egos and what the company stands for. Due to my current financial situation being in college, I have limited myself almost entirely to emersons lately, as I know I love them. However, I had been missing the flipper action I had had in last knives.

Soo..... I traded for a Emerson Rangemaster Sheepdog Bowie! This thing is absolutely awesome! The Bowie blade is a great combination of pointy and having some slicing belly. The bearings on this knife are as smooth as I've vpever felt, and as smooth as one could ever need. The ergos are sweet, and the left and right tapping on all of them is just a plus! I think this is a big home run for Emerson, anyone else agree, and love their sheepdog? This will certainly be in my pocket often from now on!

Of course, obligatory pictures.... Cleaned these both up a bit tonight

Not gonna be that guy that quotes a wall if text for a couple of sentences . First off great pics . Second I agree with you about emersons , use it and enjoy it.

It's pretty awesome! I almost got myself a sheepdog, but instead got the flipper 7 and it's amazing! You can't beat an Emerson!

The bowie blade shape is awesome, definitely one of my favorite blade profiles. I think ill have to save my penny's for this one .

Nice pickup!

I am liking the bowie blade. I will probably have to have one of these at some point - thanks for posting!

best

Thats a nice knife, classic emerson style but with a new twist. Enjoy it.

Love that blade and prefer the finger guard from the flipper. Would make me more confident with liercimg .
That's a top 5 on my imaginery Emerson list I'd like to try.

Nice pickup up. I really like this knife, it seems like a cool and functional flipper. I think it looks really good with the way the scales sorta hide the flipper when open, looks much better than the flipper 7 IMO. Enjoy!

I am enjoying it! The only thing I wish was that it was just a little bigger. Overall, but that's just my opinion

congrats enjoy 'er.

you aren't alone in wishing it was bigger. everytime i pull mine out to use, i tend to go back to a full size or super. just like the bigger blades myself.

I'm a big fan of mine, looking to add a second one, probably the spearpoint (I have a satin bowie). I just wish that the black blade versions used a better coating than the garbage currently being put on them. A knife that costs $220 should have a DLC coating and not Teflon.

I have the satin spear-point and it is smooooooth!! It's slightly smaller than I expected but that doesn't detract from it's outstanding design. I also like the additional finger guard that the flipper provides. I know some folks don't care for the wave on this model but I like options (for deploying the blade).
The G10 is the grippiest (is that even a word?) I've ever seen on any manufactured knife -- we're talking shred-your-pockets grippy! I think some high-grit sandpaper will fix that right up!
