Hi everyone, I go fishing quite often here in the Vermont. Most often I would just end up using my Gerber Flik multitool which is meant for fishing and has a decent knife on it. I now have a new favorite knife to use, my Esee Izula. It is just perfect in all but one aspect. It is small to have good maneuverability, and its keep a razor sharp edge for a long time so it doesn't require a lot of sharpening. The downside though is when you are fishing you tend to be close to water, and 1095 isn't best friends with water. Enough about my knife though, does anyone here have a favorite knife to take fishing or hunting?

The ESEE Izula is a sweet little knife and its one of my favorites. Right know I use a Swedish Mora as my go to fishing knife. It has a carbon steel blade and has a nice coat of patina on it.

Favorite fishing knife? hmmmmm....
I rotate my blades but I would have to say my CRKT Mirage.
Not the 'best' steel but it holds an edge reasonably well and is friendly with the water;heck, i even found it in a lake!!!;)
(I just wish it had a little smaller blade)

Mora 510 MG is my current favourite fishing knife. It's not stainless, but I wipe it down and it's fine.

ESEE Izula is a good little knife but it's much thicker than I want a fishing knife to be.

my favorite fishing knife is a pair, my gerber diesel and a case sodbuster
As far as hunting you cant go wrong with a buck 119!

Fallkniven F1 with Lam VG-10, used it to clean out rainbow trout recently. Plays well with water and also keeps an edge.
