My New Favorite!

This model is my new favorite outdoors knife, the full size Straight Back Kephart.

I have owned both styles and can't say one performed better than the other. To me the straight back version of the Kephart has more "eye appeal" than the standard version. I like wood handles on the Kephart whether standard or straight back because it looks more authentic.

Looks good but I am really liking the standard Kep blade. Maybe because the pocket knife I carried for 10+ years was a spear point. I feel I just don't know how to fully use that big belly.

That actually looks like it would make a nice hunter ... plenty of belly and I think the burnt wood handles are some of my favorites.
