Hi, Bf'ers just wanted to share my new custom from J.Hoover that arrived today. It's my new big boss right now and wanted to show what an outstanding job Joe did with the knife added to his great customer service:thumbup:
It's a big knife made to use(which I intend to do) not sit in a display case. It was originally based on a design he already did found here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1060658-2-for-sale-FBGCK-and-Damascus-EDC-SOLD
I did a drawing based on this knife and Joe did the rest
The knife is 14 1/8 inches, the blade is a little over 8 inches in long by 1 7/8" height with a forced patina and gun bluing. It also has a sweet n nasty skull crusher. Steel is 52100 high carbon ball bearing steel that is about .270 thick.
Scales are black canvas micarta with a more pronounced palm swell secured by two 1/4 inch chain bolts. Joe also included a really nice Holstex carbon fiber sheath with three carry options:thumbup:
Overall I couldn't be more pleased with the end result I'm a happy camper to say the least.
Thx, Michael
Any questions will be happy to answer comments are welcome. On a side note if you own the original FBGCK knife and would like to sell it let me know I would like to have as a matched set.
