I just got my new FFBM in the mail this morning. It's sage with the G10 handles. I thought I'd used a chopper before, but it's clear to me now - if you haven't chopped with a Battle Mistress, you haven't chopped!

I love it! :thumbup: The FFBM is a thing of beauty. Mine is the black / black g-10 standard scales one. Chops like a demon. The FFBM is now my favourite Busse, and after it comes the CGFBM. I need more of both. :p Oh crap. :D
 
Congratulations on your first FFBM! :thumbup: I really like that sage combo, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I love my BM-E! :D

I've always wondered how they feel without having Mags. The FFBM is pretty hefty, right? I have one with Mags, but I refrained from this combo because of the standard scales. What are people's thoughts who have held both? Does anyone have any spine shot pictures of both standard and magnums?

It sure is a great looking combo. Thanks for sharing the great pics.
 
Congrats! :thumbup: My favorite chopper as well. Don't really need the small forest axe for light duty stuff anymore.
