Got back from the post office a few minutes ago with my new Fiddleback Carver. This little knife is awesome! The handle is Huge for a carving knife and feels much better in hand then my small Old Hickory Pairing knife turned carver.
We got a snow storm yesterday, it has warmed up and things are melting so I had to take some pictures in side. Once things dry I'll get some better pictures. But for now, here are some indoor Teaser shots taken on a Fiddleback Machete sheath:

Fit and finish seem pretty good. Love the 3D spalted finish on the flats of the blade. It reminds me of an As forged finish. The handle is contoured, is thinner near the edge, thick in the middle and flared at the butt. Feels like it will work well for wood carving. Will test that out later today. Hope it feels good for cutting leather. If it does this might become my new leather cutting knife for making sheaths.
Here are Pictures of the 3" Bushcraft sheath I made today for my Carver. The Carver was used to cut out the leather and did a great job. Used my Old Hickory based carver once to cut the inside curve of the welt. The Fiddleback Carver made quick work of the sheath.

Thanks Andy!!
