I just got my new Flash II and really like what I see. I was debating between getting the Flash II or the smaller flash as most large knives this size don't carry comfortably in the front pocket for me. The low angle carry clip on the Flash II really works and I can't believe how comfortable this knife carries. I also like the reversible clip carry option on this knife. Many law enforcement officers that are right handed that I know carry their knifes in their left front pants pockets (use strong hand for weapon retention)and very few manufacters address this. The assisted opening feature is great and I found I can get this knife into action safely a lot easier than a traditional folder. In the heat of battle, even with a lot of practice, it is not always as easy getting a folder out and this has always been one reason I have carried a neck knife but I believe that the flash will solve that problem. The edge was hair popin sharp and already several of my fellow officers are looking at getting one and this is a cynical bunch. While I like the low clip on this knife, mine is still a little stiff and doesn't come out of the pocket as easy as I would like but maybe that will loosen up with time. All in all, this is a fine knife that addresses several shortcomings I have seen in other knives. Whoever thought this concept up must have had me in mind.

if you like the flash, you sh2ould try the x-ray vision or vight vision. i can actually have the blade open FASTER on the vision series than on the flash, AND the visions are a LOT stronger knife and the blade is bigger AND "very easy" to carry and clean:)

I second the X-Ray Visions. For the money, they are one of the most solid folders on the market and are worth every cent. I'm partial to the Mini X-Ray Vision for everyday carry. I've used mine constantly for countless tasks and love the way it feels in the hand. The Arc-Lock is also a bonus and operates smoothly and without flaw.

I also like pocket clips that allow you to carry the knife deep in your pocket and so far, SOG has come up with the best (and coolest looking) pocket clip design for the Mini X-Ray Vision and the Flash series.
