Hee-hee! I just now opened the box containing my NIB G-10 Police, plain edge (new style/flat ground) w/ DB dent. This was part of my proceeds from a recent trade with a fellow forumite.

This knife is fabulous! I already owned a serrated, new style G-10 Police and loved it, but this plain edge looks and feels even better! Wow. I've wanted to get one of these models for some time now. It's like a slimmer, spine-locking Military.

As well, I was sent another knife for added value. It's an unmarked FB hunter in a sheath w/ fine wooden (cocobolo, perhaps) scales, a nice, swept 3 1/2" blade and brass handguard. A real beauty! I'll try to get some pictures to post for you all to see.

Grinning ear to ear, Jeff/1911.

I've been carrying my G10 PE Police quite a bit lately. Theres something about it that is just really appealing to me.

I usually much prefer linerlock knives over lockbacks but I have to say that I like my G10 Police a lot more than my Military.

Fit and finish is top notch on this one.

BOK,

I must say, I've been making this comparison too, since receiving the G-10 Police. For some purposes, I'd imagine the added "belly" of the Military's blade would be advantageous...but for most purposes the Police is just great. The G-10 Police does have a very solid feel to it, with it's single liner construction.

I'm really enjoying this new knife.

I have an older (no liners) fully-serrated G-10 Police model, and it has become MY favorite folder.:).

I love my G10 Police PE, it's definitely one of my favorites!!!

Guys,

There really is something special about these particular models, isn't there? I just can't quit playing with this G-10 Police I recently got...Why it's just beautiful!

Cheers, Jeff/1911.

No worries, I was wondering if the Police had a model with liners and it turns out that there is one with a single liner.

That's all!

If you get the stainless model, it's sort of like getting one with ALL liners.:D.

I not a big fan of stainless handles (titanium is okay). I just feel more secure with G10 or "warmer" materials where I can get a better grip.

I picked up a G-10 Police last week just so I could round off my Spydie Police collection and I found I like the feel of it better than the others. It like someone said is a slimmer feeling version of the Military IMO it feels better. My SS Police is on it's way back from Ron and I can't wait to see it, will get some pics of it and the others when the SS shows up in it's new state.

I just got myself a G-10 plain-edged Police and it is simply awesome!

After I've had it awhile and put it through its paces, I'll right up a review and post that.

Good luck,
Allen.

My wife gave me one for Christmas this year(G-10, plain edge, flat grind). Bumped the Chinook right out of pocket rotation. It's light, quick and solid. It cuts like any flat grind spyderco, which means like a scalpel. I can't believe I've never owned a Police model until now. Definitely a keeper. Yet another great pocket knife from Spyderco.

As a side note: I very much prefer this over a Chinook. I just can't warm up to that thick beveled hollow grind on the Chinook. I've had it for a year now and it just doesn't cut like the rest of my Spydercos. It is built like a tank though. I don't think I will ever break it.
