No time to inspect.. but seems nice! :-) Will check it out after work. It is #5 of 50 :-)

Another pic I took before I had to head back into work... This one up and personal, showing the "plum" color... I don't care for gaudy... but somehow this color does not offend me, my actually liking it... a touch of different, that's all :-)

I never much cared for the toothpick pattern until I saw the GEC version. I've got one of those 2009 era #12s myself and I love the execution of it. It's really just the right size and a very nice blade shape. I prefer the thinner blade from the older ones versus the almost Barlow-style clip on the new ones.

Good snag there!

By the certificate info, this knife was made on Nov 19, 2009. I was surprized it has been around that long before being sold to me. Fate.. she was meant to live with me. But, almost 4 years old... really surprized :-)

Like I said, those were very slow movers. It is a gem. :)
funny, I was always indifferent to them, but seeing a few lately, like hte one above, I'm coming around to them - something very masculine about these ones - probably old cowboy associations. An old lady sitting opposite me at the bakery this morning was very impressed with my #92 that I used to cut up a big bread roll, saying something like 'there is a real man, is even prepared with a knife on him.' Now if I had nice blackeded carbon blade toothpick instead that might have made the effect all the more impressive...or frightened her...:D

That's a great looking knife PKJ. Really nice covers. I think all of GEC's Toothpick knives would be perfect if they added a linerlock to them, especially, the ones with the slender california clip or turkish clip blades. Not the 2-blade Powderhorns just the 1-blade Toothpicks.

Thank you, all! :-) I hated that purple dinosaur my kids and kids my ex-wife babysat for, used to watch on tv. Also, my being a Personal Fitness Instructor, I'm not a big fan of all the purple finished strength machines in our gym. So, me getting a purple handled knife... well, I just don't understand! LOL! ;-)

Well.. got a chance to fondle her, inspect her, wipe her down nicely, and put her in her new home (one of my knife display cases). Verdict... Shipping from 'knives ship free' was quick and package arrived in perfect condition. Knife is well made, and I found no issues with it. Very nice knife, I do like it :-)

And here she is safely put away in a display case... having it's very own shelf, so no other will cramp it's style ;-)
