I've been looking at these for a few months and decided to pull the trigger on one. Man am I glad I did. What a great looking knife. I got a mod 25 EO in river blue. I've seen some GEC river blue's that look like the handles are moving water. These handles look like a river that's a little choppy. I was highly impressed with GEC's burnt grizzly but this river blue is dead on for a little chop on the river. What a great job making this handle for what it's named. The knife is a nice size and the brass goes great with the blue color of the handles. These guys are putting out some great handles! Here are some pictures for all of you to enjoy.

That's a pretty knife -congrats. How's it rate on the pull scale when using a nail rather than pinching it open? Is it a nail-breaker?

Rick,
Its not bad at all from the close, but the pull actually gets stronger after the half stop.

Thanks - I've been eyeballing the various GEC patterns built on that chunky little 3" frame, but I still can't decide on a single-blade easy-opener like yours or a two-blade pattern. So many choices, so little cash...

I don't know if GEC has lightened their pull on the Barlows, but I had a 2 blade Wharncliffe model & the pull on the small blade was a nail breaker. I just found it too hard to open most of the time. However, opening the main/lg. blade was fine.

However, those little Barlows with easy open & long pull sure seem sweet. Very nice looking handles, too. Congrats!

That is a very cool looking knife. I have never been to sure about that color but after seeing these pics I think that I will have to pull the trigger and get one myself.

How's this guy treating you? I just ordered one of these from CK. I'm anxious to see this bone in person.

Matt,
You're going to love this one. Sits in my pocket well and has gotten some minor use. The bone is great looking. You'll know soon enough!
