Got my Goddard in yesterday and I love it. On a few threads I have noticed people running there cake hole about they dont like the color, no washers or liners. Well if this would have came out in 1997 I would have carried this knife my whole Army career. I looks awesome and it feels great.

The people running their "cake holes" as you put it, and on the other forum that has this duplicate post, may very well have good reasons not to like the new Goddard.

Some people like designs like the big Calypso, some people like the simplicity of a Pacific Salt or the new Goddard. Having used some older linerless FRN Enduras for 20+ years, I don't see the design as insufficient. There's plenty of hefty knives out there, the Goddard is a pretty cool little knife.

Nice looking knife, I like the blade shape and overall aesthetic of the knife, other peoples opinions would not sway me from buying one.

^^^ what is a "pig in a poke" ?????

Finally Spyderco...You have done it. I like this knife more then the Endura :-0
Also it´s relatively thin behind the edge more of that stuff Spyderco

I think of a "pig in a poke" as buying something sight unseen. Consequently, you have to take someone's word on it. I do trust the people on this sub forum but that I haven't handled this knife. And I have no clue whether I will like the knife.

On a related note, one of my Kershaw Piston's pocket clip inserts broke last night. So I am looking for another lightweight knife and my thoughts turned to the Goddard.
