I absolutely love this thing it is a beast of a hawk, sk5 steel, tough as nails!

I almost picked one of these up just based off the geometry alone! Is it a good chopper, or more of a killer? Top edge sharpened? Def looking forward to review!

it does both, and yes the beard to the spike is sharp, the under belly is not so you can choke up on it and it has a lot of forward weight, it is a great chopper, fits perfect in my hands and i have pretty big hands, i would say this hawk can do it all breaching, defense, although it is a little heavy for defense but it could definitely do some damage, the back spike is crazy sharp, i will try to get some chopping picts soon!

A little chopping , this thing is nice, i didnt have to put any effort into it and no hot spots on the handle when swinging, i think it is a winner

after a little chopping, hardly any marks on the blade and still sharp

it could indeed, but the handles feel pretty good in my hand i didn't detect any hot spots while chopping and it is pretty grippy, i doubt i will wrap them
