Rick is one of the coolest makers and does some awesome work. This is probably the best all around folder I've owned. It's tough as a tank, but still light and easy to carry. The tip is his Spanto design, which gives it a razor cutting edge while still keeping full thickness for strength.

That is sweet! Looks very comfy and practical. Rick does make some great knives!

It looks like there is no stop pin behind the tang.Is the only thing holding the blade open the frame-liner lock?

Thanks for the nice words. It truly is a beast, with a softer side :)
ROBB- the thumbstuds act as the stop pins. It opens super smooth and locks up like a fixed blade. On Rick's site, theres video of him throwing one over and over, running it over, etc. It's unbelieveably tough!

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Awesome.

I must have one of these! I owm two of Hinderer's knives and they are beyond reproach. He makes an amazingly tough yet smooth folder and yours appears to be right on.

Congrats!

No, have a look at where the thumbstuds land when the knife is open. They double as stop pins.

Great knife, Ricks makes fantastic knives. I currently have two Flames and they are very strong and smooth knives. The XM-18 is built even stronger than they are, so this thing must be a tank.

Awwwww man!!!

Sexy, really tough, well designed and engineered. . . and a "spanto" point!

Must win lottery/ask for inheritance in advance/find gullible financier
