I have been waiting for this for awhile now and even though Rick just got it out today and I won't get it till tomorrow, he did send me a picture of it. My new Hinderer Firetac with mammoth ivory and the recurve blade that I got him to design. I can hardly wait...thank you Rick, it looks fantastic!

that is so freakin cool.I'm not a big fan of ivory, but that thing is really great, is the ivory flush with the Ti or does it swell out a little? That's one of the best firetacs I've seen, yet. Good score!

that is the finest piece I have ever seen from Rick. A real piece of art and a beautiful knife.

Nybble, I'm not really sure yet, but will let you know tomorrow morning when I get it

Crap that is even better than I would have imagined. Rick does incredible work. I gotta order one.

I don't really know a lot about Rick or his knives other than from what I saw in Atlanta. He was a great guy, a pleasure to talk to and seemed very commited to what he does. He also had some of the finest performing knives I handled. Lock-up was perfect and they functioned as they should. Rick and his knives made a favorable impression to say the least.

Sorry for the rambling, but what is apparent to everyone is how great the knife looks, what is not apparent is how well it is constructed and that the maker is a class act. You have a nice one there.

That is an awesome piece of work. The color of the handle really offsets the ivory.

It is a beauty. I know that you will treasure that one!

I really love my Flashover lefty that Rick made.

:D :D :D

It finally got here and the pictures don't do it full credit. The ivory stands out from the titanium enough that it fills my hand perfectly and I love his new texturing, it really feels and looks great! And like all of Ricks knives the action is extremely smooth and it locks up like a vault yet isn't hard to disengage. Plus I'm really impressed with his new recurve grind, it looks like its realy going to be functional and looks good on top of it all. This knife was well worth the wait as will the next one I've got coming...

Steve :

Nice score sir.

Now drive over to Vegas so I can check it out , you are not going to make me wait til August to see it are you ?

You have excellent tasts in knives , just wish I would have had my camera to take a pict of all the hardware you brought for our meeting in Prescott :D
