Here it is guys, a Cadet with some nice checkered figured walnut for non slip grip! Serated blade, a pic of two fightin Elk, and thumb serations!
Now I`ve been waitin for elk season since it ended last year ( with a nice big cow on the ground ) and it is here again, it actually started this past monday, but I`ll be headed out this monday to try to arrow me another...hopefully a nice bull! The entire month of september is dedicated to bow huntin so you guys won`t see much of me around here.

Hope you like it!

I hear ya,Bow season starts September 15 up here.
can't wait till could weather and the rut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome work on the handle! That really looks like an excellent knife for the tasks for which you designed it. And it's visually appealing too!

Good luck out there!

That is sweet -- one o those sure would look nice on my side this monday for dove season! ;) :D

You better keep that Cadet hidden, Ron! You'll be attracting other hunters who want to see it and handle it! :D And all those red & orange jackets are gonna 'spook' the elk. I hope you fill your freezer with elk meat and let me know when you start making an elk stag handled Cadet!;)

Dan, this is a Ron Leuschen knife. That means the blade is made from O-1.

This seems to be a very versatile design, Ron. Bet you it works great as a hunter.
