My New JK Custom Arrived and it's a Beauty

Back when John had his special going on for customer designed knives, I decided to try and design one. My brother had done some landscaping for me and would not charge me any labor so I thought it would make a great gift.

I drew the knife out on graph paper and then made a card board cut out to send John. Below are the results and I must say I'm very pleased with it. John did an outstanding job on the knife as usual and I really like my design as well. My brother does a lot of deer hunting so I went with a drop point style blade but I also wanted something that would work well for general type use. I believe this knife is going to work great and it feels great in hand.

The sheath is a belt style made from natural horsehide. My brother has been known to loose a thing or two so although the knife fits pretty snug, I decided to add a snap and flap for better security. A pull the dot snap loop was used for belt attachment.

Wow! That is a beauty, great design. Love the sheath, horsehide is my favorite holster material. Never thought of a knife sheath with it, great idea.

Thanks fellas. John did a perfect job bringing this design to life. It's hard to tell how a knife will feel from a cardboard cutout but I couldn't be more pleased with the design. My brother was really tickled with it.

I'm also glad John added the number 1 on the knife. I already have 2 and 3 on order which will be Christmas gifts for my two boys. Hopefully I can get one for myself before too long.
