Hey guys,

Following are some designs of Kerambits I am gearing up to make.

I made a wooden model of this handle design and blade and it fits very naturally in the hand in both reverse grip and standard forward grip. The angle of the hole in relationship to the fingers keeps all of the fingers on the same plane and nothing feels like it is stretched out to reach the hole or the handle. The hand/grip is very secure. Plus the angle of area surrounding the hole makes a very nice striking impliment for less than lethal force if the situation demands. The size of the pieces are 5 3/4" over all with a blade of 2 1/4".
Kerambit 1 and 2 are very similiar with the only real difference being the blade to handle angle being slightly different between the two.

Kerambit 3 includes a hook that will be edged, but not razor sharp, for hooking and tearing.

Kerambit 4 is just a slimmer blade profile than the others with a more acute angle to the blade

Currently I am planning on forging the the blades from .262 5160 steel with a scotch brite finish or an optional gun coat finish. Let me know what you think of the designs.

Here is model 1 and 2
