My New Kitchen Friend

I just got this today, from shanto. It has a 9" blade 14" total 2.5" tall at highest spot from 3/16" stock. It has English walnut scales with 1/4" stainless pins. This knife is thinned very nice at the cutting edge and the tip, just cut up an onion and it is a great chopper.

What is the thickness of the blade? Who is Shanto?

The blade is 3/16th at the spline with a great taper. Shant is a knife maker from B.C. Canada, he is on the forum just search his name.
