I just got back from my backyard where I spent the last hour enjoing my new toy - Bob Patrick's Pierce-Arrow throwing knife. It took my hand 5-6 throws to memorize the grip and after that it was flying (2 spins). I found the hole very useful, as soon as my pinky in it, my palm grabs the knife exactly the same way every time.
Guys, how about your new knives? sure you got something new this summer

Didn't get anything new, but I'm not familiar with your knife. Where can I get some info and pics?

Well, I finally ended up getting a new thrower, but it's not really a knife. I bought the hibben throwing axe (the first one, with only one cutting edge) and found it quite easy to throw consistently. I've heard that the curved handle makes it harder to throw, but I actually prefer it. The same goes for my hatchet, I find it easier to throw than my tomahawk because of the curved handle. Makes it a better chopper too.
