My new Lightfoot!!!

I just got my very first custom knife from another forum member, A Lightfoot 460 Stealth, spear point. I can not even describe the feel of a "custom" knife, I am hooked!!! It is thew best knife I have ever had in my hand!! Does anyone else feel this way with their 'first'??

My first was a very early Mad Dog ATAK (#026). I have been a mess ever since. Once you get the feel for a custom, the production stuff always seems to be lacking a little. If you can ever get a maker to do something you designed it is really a neat feeeling. You end up holding and using something that was created specifically for you.

A Lightfoot 460 was also my first choice of custom knife about 3 years ago, and it is an excellent knife! I have not gone back to production (except for the inescapable Microtech bug of course!) Greg makes excellent knives and he is a great guy to talk to, and if you ever need it refurbished just send it to him and it will come back 100%!!!
 
I know exactly what you mean. My first two true customs were a pair of Hossom Millennium Fighters. Although I own a bunch of knives, that matched pair of knives will always be my favorites.
