I got a Condor II, 10x4 bottle holder and a Proteous waist-pack

The condor is stuffed with a pile of school books, along with pretty complete first aid and survival kits.

Canteen, CountyComm SO-LED clip light, iTP C8 flashlight, Bruton ball compass on the pack straps. There are ranger beads too, but they're hiding.

My expanded day-hike/survival pack. Some of you may remember my kit based around the H1 waistpack I made a while ago. It's still there, stuck onto the bigger pack. I just a few of the bulkier bits moved to the Proteus, which also has room for serious water purification gear, a saw, extra heatsheat, etc.

I'm really starting to love my Condor II.
I can comfortably carry twice the weight my previous cheap pack.
And that one hurt my shoulders and had a seam rip out.
 
That was my original intent, but I didn't like any of the options for mounting it directly to the pack itself with the tac-tie points. On the front where the H1 is now stuck out too far.
On the bottom bounced against my legs. Putting it on the side pockets was wiggly.

The Proteus has a belt, I'll just put it on that if I take it on a hike. Also it's got mounting points for a shoulder strap to take some of the weight. :)
 
Nice setup....I like those 10x4s. Great piece of kit.

Im waiting on LAPG to get my Lunada here. I hope it comes soon.
 
The 10 x 4 is a great concept. In warm weather I like to go for a stroll to a small local lake. A water bottle is critical and the 10 x 4 allows easy attachment for a couple of small add-ons so I don't need a big bag, backpack or messenger.
 
So sweet. Great pack choices, models and colors. I am on the same note, just waiting to get the cashola.:thumbup:
 
Quick question for ya about the colors. What color is the Condor II and the other two bags? I tend to see colors differently than others (not color blind) I just see them differently than other people.

The Condor II is Khaki, it looks kinda green to me in the second pic, I don't know why. :confused: But it's Khaki, the first pic is pretty true to how it looks to me.

All the little ones are "Foliage Green."
 
Sweet setup Joben, I am jealous! You get the review the HEST before I do, THEN you start posting all this awesome gear! :D

The Condor II is such a nice setup, I had one before I swapped over to my Typhoon. Hadn't really thought about a Proteus.... but it looks like a nice dayhike setup.
