I traded out a few never-used knives for this. It's my first damascus blade, a bit of an outlier for me with no clip, but I really love it. Build quality, fit and finish, are outstanding--best of any of my folders, fur sure. Here's a couple of pictures. Thanks for looking.

I've been looking at those for awhile now, especially the models with damascus handles.

Very nice , good luck with it.

Congratulations. It is the beautiful knife.
I am thinking about getting Mcusta myself

Very nice. I love my Mcusta and I'm always glad to see another 'convert'. Nice snag.

I have two Mcustas, one damascus with ebony, the other white delrin. They don't have clips but that was my choice, most Mcustas do have clips if you want.

The quality of finish, opening, lockup and ergonomics is outstanding. I got mine from Japan direct and rocket fast shipping.

If you are hesitating, don't ,they are a piece of quality Japanese tradition in up to the minute form:thumbup:

One minor drawback is the sheath(so often the case with many knives) the cordura nylon is OK & practical but this NAFF leather name patch looking like some 70s jeans leaves a lot to be desired.

Looks like it has a VG-10 core.
Man, those Japanese knives are sweet!

Congrats on a beautiful knife. I have a question though that everyone here might be able to answer. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I just HAVE to know - it's driving me nuts. Anyway...

How do you pronounce Mcusta?

Is it...

em - custa (like saying the letter "M" then "custa")
ma - custa (like saying Grandma Custa without the "Grand")
mmm - custa (as in "mmm, that's good pie)
mc - custa (like mcdonalds)

Please help!!

I'd say M'custa Mahkoosta!

I believe it's an acronym for Machine Custom but I may be wrong...sounds more Japanese to say it with this clipped m sound:D

Whatever, they are impressive knives to keep and use, and a bit unusual:thumbup:

I've always wondered that too. I called it em-custa for a long time, till I met my friend and another owner who both call it muh-custa.

I want one too, but can't justify the cost at the moment...been a bit spendy lately.

Okay, so the first part is pronounced "Muh."
Now...how do you say the last part?
Is it "koo-sta" or "cuss-ta"?
