I dont want to start a big controversy here but I thought I would offer my take on my new ATAK.Let me start by saying I had never been a fan of MAD DOG due to my observations in this and the other forums. This said, the ATAK seems to be some knife.Well balanced,a great handle and mine was shaving sharp.I plan to hack up some 2x4's this weekend to see how it fares.Maybe controversy is good advertising,I really had no desire to buy one until all this started.

I have to admit the current controversy helped fuel my desire for a second ATAK. I placed the order yesterday. My current ATAK is one of the older versions similar to the one tested. It has performed admirably, as have all of my Mad Dogs. Also, I can't say enough about the quality, personalized service I have received from both Kevin McClung and Shannon Lew.

Regardless of what is being said on the Net, I choose to let my wallet do the talking. Mad Dog Knives and their dealers have earned this level of support. I can't offer a higher recommendation.

Regardless of what one concludes about any particular manufacturer, I firmly believe that it is the duty of the dealer to ensure that the customer is satisfied and happy with his/her purchase.

We stand behind the Mad Dog products we sell, and Kevin has continued to offer us and our customers tremendous support over the past two years.
