I carried the Lightfoot-designed Microtech L.C.C. every day from the late '90s until 2009, when I lost it on the subway in Montreal.

Finally found another...and all is right with the world again. As far as I'm concerned, this is the perfect all-around folder. Too bad prices on the used market are now 2-3 times what they cost new 15-16 years ago!

Glad to have another one in my hands again!

Damn!! That knife is beautiful.. I love the shark on the clip but that's the least of it. It's times like this where its frustrating for me to be a lefty. Enjoy it.. again...

I actually very much understand how you feel, having recently recovered my own after it had been lost for a few years. (I'm still not sure how it ended up in that box)
Glad to see you found a replacement.

I remember when these first came out. Best production folder on the market (back then) and still better than a lot of higher-end production and mid-tech folders today. Immaculate fit and finish. Congratulations on reuniting with such a fine knife.

Enjoy!

Great knife. I love mine. Have the double action model. Fantastic ergos.

I don't know if you picked up on it, but the shape of the clip is meant to give the impression of a shark's tooth. Not sure what the deal is with Greg Lightfoot and sharks...but he's definitely got something going on!

I was blown away by mine in 1999. There was no production folder that came close to the fit and finish at the time.

This one is now 15 years old and well used. It still locks up tight with zero blade play in any direction. Perfect blade centering. It opens so smoothly; you really have to feel it to appreciate it. Phenomenal edge geometry. And the ergonomics are just perfect (for me). I recently bought my first Sebenza (full-size; Insingo; CF scale) and I can honestly say I'm a little disappointed. The action is nowhere near as buttery smooth and the blade geometry is not as good for slicing.

Congratulations on finding another one! Truly one of the best D/A folders made, along with the MTX2 and the CMTX5.... MICROTECH was really running on all cylindersv when these were produced.

Man those are nice! A re run is certainly in order! The LCC was the knife that pushed me into carrying larger knives. Before that all I really liked was smells. I started carrying a LCC but it was just too nice looking to ding up, so I got a Lg Seb instead! Haha. I'd love to give it another shot though. (But not for current NOS market price!)
