My new military seems to be winning lots of pocket time

Picked up a titanium military a couple of weeks ago. Didn't really love it. Too heavy, too big, tip down only...etc. I decided to not even carry it and sell or trade it "like new" on the forum. I didn't get any offers I wanted so I pulled the thread and decided to just carry the thing. Umm...it's growing on me...fast! Haven't carried my pm2 all week. I'm getting used to the size now and actually am even coming to appreciate it. I'm actually liking the ti also, as I carry iwb and I find the smooth ti more comfortable than g10. I feel like I'm going out with a new girl who I never thought was that hot, but every time it take her out she gets a little prettier! Must be her personality! :D

I'm not surprised, the Ti Military is my favorite Spyderco for a lot of reasons, and the added heft is actually one of them.

Great knife, it just takes a few days to get comfortable with the weight, but the durability and look of the ti when it gets used is the best part..
I keep it in my back pocket and I'm not worried of breaking it if I sit on it..

If I get a military, the titanium one is definitely the one I'd get. The tip down is really the biggest bummer in my opinion. If they made a titanium PM2 though? That would pretty much be like printing money.

Oof! I'm really liking this thing! One day I'll figure out not to judge my new spydies until I have carried and used them for awhile. ;). This is a really great design! Between this and my se pacific salt, my poor pm2 isn't getting much love these days.

Lance, I'm glad that you are liking the Ti Millie. I was surprised to see that you weren't digging it. The Ti Millie is way up on the 'Gotta Have' list for me. Just don't sacrifice it to the Ocean Deities!

You know, one thing I've noticed about this knife is it wants to be gripped differently than my pm2. My hand tends to gravitate towards a choked up grip on the paramilitary, with my index finger in the choil. The military seems to want to be gripped normally, not using the choil. The result is, in use, the Millie seems even larger than it normally would. I think the Millie blade is only about a half inch longer than the pm2, but it seems much more than that in use.

If you have a tendency to take your knives apart, I would suggest upgrading the T6 torx screws with T8's, and maybe replacing the backspacer with standoffs. I've had a number of backspacers end up having stripped threads.

This is a very good practice.

In a year and a half, my Military has zero pocket time.

I'm left handed, and bought a right handed model.
No mistake, the right hand model is perfect for the left side of my belt.
You rotate it 90 degrees to clip on the belt.
I know 99% of you carry it in the pocket, but for me the Military is strictly a belt knife.

I do however, carry the smaller blades in my pocket.
