My new Milli scares me a bit...

Hai Everyone,

Iám new on the SPYDERCO forum and must admit that my new Military S30V is my sharpest knife till now.Just got it last week.
Ans i have to say: I love it.
I know that my Chinook I and my Goddard Jr. are also sharp, but i can't compare them with the Military.
The only other knife i have, which i can compare it with is my SOG Vision.
But let me tell you my Milli will not be my last SPYDERCO.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your stay. We have a few forumites from the Netherlands too (even shipped a couple there myself). You'll find this an informative and friendly place to be.
I'm sure that your Millie won't be your last Spydie. I can't tell you how many I have, then I'd just have to get one more.

Welcome, It also happens to be my sharpest knife also ( factory edge ) I love the Spyderco Military, the knife I turn to everytime ! Well... and my Calypso Jr. ;)

I am also from the Netherlands and a very regular visitor here. You should also check out the Spyderco.com - Forum. In a few weeks (or less :)) Spyderco will release the Para-Military, a smaller version of the Millie, but with a Compression-lock and double steel liners.

Welcome to the Forum. You may also like to check the other Spyderco's Forum (at spyderco.com) there are plenty of forumites from Nederland there. I wonder if our friend Jurphaas has anything to do with this... ;)
 
BIG surprise eh? It's that spectacular? I certainly hope so. I'm looking for it to be comparable to my Sebenza, in terms of functionality. Hoping for rock solid, super sharp, great cutting ability, great edge retention, etc. I love the ATR. It compares well with my Sebenza, so the Milie should do the same, yes?:)

obsolete lightsaber? thats a paradox if i've ever heard one:p ;)
 
I have a feeling the same thing will happen to me, Jeff. I'm carrying my Dodo more than my seb now, so the Military might very well take over.
 
The Military is my all time favorite folder...I too like it better than a Sebenza. My S30V version is the sharpest knife I own. S30V takes a great edge and is easy to sharpen. Great knife.

The military continues to impress me and I have carried it almost every day for the last four or five months. This morning I used it in my freezing cold garage while wearing leather gloves. I couldn't believe how easy it was to open in the gloves and then use. I cut up a bunch of boxes for the recycle bin and it was just great; easy to handle, fit the gloves perfectly. I need another. The military and black SE dodo have become my EDC pair.
 
Just got my first PE S30V Military! It's oh so sweet...
This combined with my PE blue Dodo will be a sweet pair.:D
