I just can't get enough of this knife. I really love it. It's been a long time since I've found a knife that I really love. I have the satin/stonewash finish with a plain edge. Everything is perfect with the knife except it has grind marks on the blade tang and on the jimping. There is discoloration in the ridges of the jimping. Something of a brown/copper color. I also saw them on a Youtube review of the Horseman. Love this knife. I rarely keep knives for very long. This one's staying with me along with my Microtech Mini Socom with a stonewashed blade and my beloved Benchmade Mini AFCK. Can't wait to get the full sized A-100 with a satin/stonewash blade. Handled both the full size and mini and decided to go with the big one.:)

:D

Congrats!!! I have one too.

I have noticed the discolorations in various areas of almost all of the new stonewashed Emerson models. Adds character!

naw not rust.. when the ti heats up it changes colors... Anodizing. Congrats on the score! I miss my horseman... will be getting the new stonewashed one soon! I know this will not be your last

If the colour is on the blade then it could be anything from the heat treat to "heat stain" from grinding the jimping on
the blade or maybe even some of the tumbling medium left over from the stone wash, but it could also be the start of
oxidation. If it's on the Ti then it's just heat staining from some part of the cutting or finishing process.

That knife has 2 big brothers as well, you will probably need both of them IMO ;)
