I posted in another thread that I decided to get a Mnandi (my first). It arrived today, so I thought I would put up some pictures. First impressions are very favorable.

That's 3 CRK's for me since January! What's next?

Congrats on the Mnandi, it's a great knife! I see you also have a Large Sebenza 21 and Large Inkosi, I would suggest something with Micarta inlays, or wood inlays if you prefer. An Insingo blade is also something to look into, as well as carbon fiber. A lot of members here seem to love a small Sebenza 21 with Micarta inlays as the ideal EDC. However, I prefer the Mnandi as a small knife. There is also the Umnumzaan, which is my current favorite.

Thoughts regarding your Sebenza 21 versus Inkosi?

Congratulations !!!!!!
That's a looker, nice choice you made.
A group pic would be in order :)

I wrote in the thread about my Inkosi that something about it "speaks" to me more than the 21. However, I hope to always be able to keep the 21.

Wait I got one in a color LW doesn't have yet? Isn't that like hitting the powerball numbers or something?

I have a Macassar, although it doesn't look exactly like yours. Wood inlays never do, though.

It's basically exactly the wood on a Mnandi I have been looking for. I stumbled across them accidentally when I was doing all my research on the Small Inkosi and saw those and was like, meh I'll probably never see one like that at a decent price. The wood in the seller's photos appears to be very rich, which is something I was specifically looking for and grain pattern was the second.

So basically 2 down 2 to go. Just need to get a flag Small and a Small from my son's birthday, which reminds me, I should post in that thread.

Are you on facebook? If you are, PM me.

And your Mnandi has got some stunning grain, I love it! Post the seller's pic in the Anticipation Thread. :)

Hey, Amoo...

You snagged a TERRIFIC looking Macassar Ebony Mnandi over on the exchange. Don't know how/if the wood could ever be improved upon.

Congrats!

P.S. If you ever decide to sell it... I was late to the selling party.

Thank you sir. I tend to be very specific about exactly what I buy and the only two knives I have bought so far which just weren't for me were the Manix 2 and the PM2 and they are both back up on the exchange. I knew before I bought them I probably wouldn't like them, but hey, I got to rent a few Spydies for a few weeks, no harm, no foul. I did at least learn enough to know I will probably want a PM3 in a better steel.

Unfortunately this means it will probably be in my possession for a very long time, but we never know what life will bring. I will do my best to remember in the future if I ever do decide to let it go, but I'm not going to make any promises :P

FWIW that snakewood Mnandi that was just up and sold was also absolutely stunning and I'm not even a Damascus guy and even I had to look twice.

Congrats, its beautiful!
I got myself a Gabon Ebony Mnandi for Christmas and it instantly became my EDC.
That's two CRKs for me now: the Mnandi and 21 Insingo. I see another mnandi in the future....
