Few days ago a package from our Glenn had arrived at my home, this itself was no big surprise as I knew it was on its way. The package contained an old Case XX Barlow originally with broke scale and wobbling blades that I sent to Glenn to fix.

here it is before i sent it:

As you may note it has great smooth red soap bone scales and my request from Glenn was to remove only the broken scale and find new one to match the older scale on the mark side, quiet a challenge.
Glenn did wonderful job restoring this old Barlow, giving it many more years of use, the new scale is a bit lighter but no less nicer than the old one.

As you can see Glenn chose not to shine up the blades and left the original character of the knife, indeed great looking.

Since I got it it's in my pocket, and strangely I take it out for quick look every 10 minutes :) Thank you Glenn, more knives will be heading your way soon.

Wonderful job Glenn! Nice match-up of scales, and new life for a venerable old Case!!
You chose the Master of restoration, Mike.
It is great the you carry it, and can revel in its new life and gorgeousness!:D

Ah! New clothing for the old girl! :) Excellent job of matching up the old bone, considering the original dyes are no longer available. Kudos Glenn!

I love the old Case Barlows and carry the same model myself at times.

Well said! Glenn is truly a master craftsman and bless him for rejuvenating these old knives and bringing them back to life.

You guys are embarrassing me.

Thanks for the comments, I just try to do the best work I can. They're not all winners, trust me on that, but I'd like to think that I get close.

It's really an honor to work on people's knives, be they old or new, thanks for trusting me with your babies!

Glenn
