I've been playing with how I organise and carry my gear/toys lately

I like to pocket carry most of my kit but hate it when things bag about and dig into me so tend to carry my pocket knives in slip pouches.

This little setup is still my daily edc. I may have mentioned this before having carried it daily for the last year or so

more recently I've been looking at ways to carry those little odds and ends I find myself tinkering with when I'm out and about, I have finally come up with a setup I'm happy with

small enough to fit in a shirt pocket it carried pretty much everything I need apart from my fire kit (more on that later)

Heres the gear laid out clockwise from the top
1 lt water bag with rehydration powder sachet, sterilization tablets and a lengh of paracord for a carry strap.
copper Maratc AAA torch
Modified Brass oil bottle - carrying a fishing kit - missing some line at the moment but I'm working on a way to carry it.
Fixin kit made from a couple of brass shells (based on an idea a chap called Spork had on the bcusa forum)
Falkniven D3 stone - leather backed for a strop
I also slip in some ductape and steri-strips in with the water bag

Thanks for nothing. That's another thing added to the wish list.

You could market that whole set up as a classy survival kit and sell them. Like the stuff that comes in those hollow handled knives- but for grown-ups.

That's a really cool setup. Well photographed, too. I have always loved leather sheathes, organizers and such, so I'm trying not to drool on my keyboard here looking at your pocket dividers. Tool cool.

thanks for the compliments guys

I'm working on mk2 which will include a pocket knife and fire kit

That's a very nice kit. I keep my pockets organized with leather pouches too, but the content is a bit less outdoorsy :) (that stuff is in the backpack)

I am sort of trying to use it like I would an altoids tin - I like the consept but didn't like the fact as soon as i took anything out it rattled

Here's a picture of one of the fire kits I carry along with a recent acquisition vintage case jack knife, previously only owned a sodbuster jr which saw alot of pocket time for a while but this ones in a different league.

The flint and steel pouch is a play time carrier when I've the time to tinker I'm still learning the technique - the lighters always carried if i need a quick fire and i carry a brass peanut lighter on my keychain as a backup
