My new old Sebenza

Just wanted to share some pics of my latest additions.

It was so difficult to find a lefty Regular that I never thought I'd get the chance to own one of these older style Sebenzas. It was born in 1995. It's got ATS-34 and an old style pocket clip. I believe that the clip may have been added later. The polished blade on it is in great shape.

I added the lanyard and pin from my Umnumzaan. I finally learned how to re-tie the lanyard via youtube. I'm sure it's easier when you have a long piece of cord that you can trim the ends to proper length. It came out great after a few too many tries though.

I picked up this scale recently from a fellow forum member. It is an example of Barry H's great work.

Nice score! I got a new old sebenza too! It's a large regular with the crosshairs graphic and s30v. It was made in 07. The regular is my favorite profile, can't stop carrying it even though I just got my two smfs back. Is that one gonna be a user?

Wish I had a 95, that was the year my daughter was born.

The Barry H scale looks great.
 
Nicely polished and that scale is awesome. I still have yet to mod mine.

Very nice. I love those Regulars too. I probably carry my Reg more than anything else.

Will it be a user? Good question, I haven't decided for sure. I'll probably carry it some, because it's just so nice... but I don't want to screw up that polished blade too much with heavy cutting tasks.



In hand it feels like a crisper, more blocky felling 21. I like it. It also opens and closes with a much more hydrochloric feel than any of my other CRK's.

Thanks. Now I've got to go get a carbon fiber scale from him, for the Reg.
 
You just acquired what I consider the Best of the Best, Congratulations. Now your totally screwed cuz it will eventually become an Obsession to obtain more Original Sebenzas.
 
Uh oh, I can easily see that happening. Well good thing for my wallet they are hard to find!:)

Next I need a lefty 25!
