Here we go. I'm not much of a photographer, but I'll be studying Craigs article in the new BCCI newsletter and hope to learn something.

These are my three special ones I picked up at the Pasadena show.

Timberlake,Buck Custom and a David Yellowhorse, nice knives and your pics are fair....
look like mine before I made my light box.I still forget to shut off the other lights at times and have a yellow hue.

Plumb,

Nothing wrong with third photo, the first two just needed some white cardboard or even aluminum foil reflecting some light in the shady parts. Angle it so it shoots the light from source to knife......
300Bucks

PD, nice knives... you told me you didn't care for the chip flint blade... But when you have it in your hand it's different... They are nice... You did good like always... Great knives...

Yeah, once I saw and fondled it for a bit, I had to have it. I don't seem to find the pictures of the one you had. Why don't you shoot them to me again and maybe we can do something.

Dave those are very nice knives.
That Yellowhorse just knocks my socks off. Good haul.
I'd say your most certainly addicted now. :)

You got the addicted part right! You know what? When I found this forum last year, I owned one Buck. It's the 111 Classic that my Mother in Law gave me back in the early eighties. Now, I really can't tell you with any degree of accuracy how many I have. Someone should have warned me!!!

Oh and the Yellowhorse. I love it to death and it's even more special because I got to meet and talk to David. He is just one heck of a nice guy and makes you feel like an old friend. So did everyone else there, it was pretty special. I have to say a special thanks to Rusty, he's become a very special friend and I owe him alot for inviting me to meet up with him at the show. A really wonderful guy.

Dave, will try to get them out to you tomorrow or ASAP... I was going to go to the show and I wish I did now... Just to meet DY... Next time.... :)

Very nice Dave, well worth your trip..
I can't stop lookin at the chipflint knife, that is beautiful.
I really like the feather, how is it done ?

You know, I can't really tell for sure how the feather was done. It APPEARS to be cut directly from the stag, but then again it might be cut separately and added on. I sure can't see any joint though, so I really don't know.

I'm not sure of the exact process either, but I am told by those in the know that it is actually cut directly into the stag itself.

Now is that a wood bolster on that feathered chippie?? I still want your wife to call mine and say its ok for me to "INVEST" in so many nice Bucks ! I need help...[maybe counseling..]

After 46 years of marraige, my wife has learned to tolerate my excesses but even she has suggested counceling (for me) a few times!:) It may have something to do with the fact that I never complained or gave her a bad time about the 14 horses that she owned at the same time. We just each do our own thing.;)

Yes, the bolster is burled wood. I've ordered the 111 and 55 versions from BPS. I may have to order a second 55 because my wife fell in love with the 532 but says it's too big for her to carry. When she sees the 55, I'm sure it will be a goner and I'll need another one for myself.
